FMG is proud to be an integral part of its local landscape, and we take our responsibility as one of the largest employers in Huddersfield very seriously. That's why we always strive to recruit locally wherever possible. And we work hard to make our premises a motivating place to work, which is why so many of our employees choose to stay with us year after year.

We aim to engage, support and challenge our staff to continually improve the impact we have on our community. To do this, we don't just give money to local charities – we task our Management Development Programme candidates with devising new and innovative ways to raise funds. This approach ensures that real thought is given to the issue, as our entrepreneurial teams are able to donate the money they raise to the charity of their choice. By working in this way, we not only encourage our people to develop their skills – we actively help raise awareness of and promote involvement with local initiatives. A great example of this is our support for Kirkwood Hospice, a cause that many staff at FMG feel strongly about. We're thoroughly committed to continuing our work within the community, with the clear aim of helping to support and benefit the surrounding areas.

We're also conscious of the impact of our business on the local environment. As such, we have developed an in-depth environmental policy. In addition, the design of our new premises will incorporate a range of energy efficient and environmentally aware technology. Together, these will ensure that we'll continue to reduce our carbon footprint well into the future.
